About Kusa

In Kusa, you play as grass 草, and must keep the collective spirit of your grass patch alive. Your natural enemies, sheep 羊, will try to destroy you, so  spread your patches of grass and consume sheep droppings to become more and more powerful.

The more grass you have on-screen, the faster your power level will increase. Manure will increase your speed. Increase your power level to 2500 to complete a level, and complete all 15 levels to win.

How to Play

Use WASD to move and Spacebar to begin a level. Use the mouse or hit Enter to navigate menus.

Version

Kusa was originally made for the Ludum Dare 46 Jam by Twig Nielsen and Oliver Morrish. This is the updated "DX" version, which features 5 more levels, a new UI, level selection, and new music by Jack Morrish.
